On April 25 in Prague !!
The celebration of the Liberation Festival in Prague returns for its second edition, an opportunity to find us, reflect and reaffirm the values of anti -fascism together. In a period in which in Italy and throughout Europe the voices of the extreme right are increasingly made, we want to respond with a collective moment of memory, community and resistance. Freedom, democracy, justice and peace are the basis from which to start again, once again, together.
We will project the masterpiece of Costa-Gavras Z-The orgy of power (1969) for the occasion. The film, winner of the jury prize in Cannes and the Oscar for the best foreign film, is a powerful complaint against political repression, inspired by the assassination of the Greek politician Grigoris Lambrakis. An always current reflection on power, justice and the struggle for freedom.
The projection will be in original version with English subtitles. Admission is free.

We will Screen the Political Thriller Z by Costa-gavras (1969). A Powerful and Gripping Film, Z is based on True Events Surrounding The Assassination of Greek Politician Grigoris Lambrakis, and it stands as a Fierce Critique of Authoritarianism and Political Violence.
The Film Will Be Shown in Its Original Language with English Subtitles. Entry and screening are free.
