About event
The pilot year of the Senior Theater festival will bring mutual meetings and inspiration for amateur ensembles operating under professional institutions across the Republic. It will mainly include a view of the creation of individual groups through the presentation of productions or Work in Progress, but will also offer joint discussions or workshops. The festival will be open not only to active files, but also to all others who are interested in leading the creative intergenerational dialogue.

Saturday 15th March
9:40 | string. string. He has been working in the current composition for less than a year and historically has two public performances. As part of the open workshop, they have prepared a tasting of the way of their work. Through controlled improvisation, a common space for playing, creativity, testing of your own potential and discovering imagination. It does not matter your theater experience or age - We test our ability to tune in to others and ourselves, we will support our imagination and the ability to be in the present moment. The workshop will be led by lecturer Jana Kobylinská.

🎭 baked The production of studio 60+
Director: Tereza Volánková, Marie Klemensová
are slow unless they hold a shopping cart. They save on the funeral and hide their money under the mattresses. They believe the hoaxes. And they always have baked. The first author's production of the amateur ensemble for the elderly of Studio 60+ operating since January 2023 under the Husa theater on String has indicated prejudice towards old age. Is it suited to climb the stage at this age? And what will the deserts listen to in retirement? Also brass band?!

How many doors will we open in our lives, how many thresholds we cross, how many chairs we sit before finding a sense of safety and peace? What happens to a person when he loses it all one day and suddenly finds himself alone in an unknown environment? With the advent of strength old age, he gains an emotional sediment of ancient events in the body and reaction to it. The weakness of the body leads to the economy of movements and everyday monotony, yet the strength of memories, or vice versa, their eternal loss gives space to unexpected combinations between ideas and reality, movement and word, sounds and silence, needs and dreams. Production bearers, s.r.o. It is the result of a long -term author's project led by Kateřina Šobáňová, which was focused on researching the movement, corporeality and expressiveness of the aging human body. The Solo production will present the Swiss performer Stefan Bütschi.

10.00 | String. In this, its members focus on the search and rediscovery of personal stories that are not only hidden in memories, but resonate in the body, in its physical form and movement. The creative work with the body, material, object, voice and text will lead to the creation of an authorial theater production at the end of the year, which will be created in cooperation with the art team Continuo. How to intensify and develop the expressiveness of senior artists through the body, movement, object and their compositions together in the creative laboratory. The workshop will be led by Kateřina Šobáňová, lecturer and performer of the theater Continuo.

🚶️lets Green Market | A tour of the Husa na provázku Theater. The square is surrounded by historical houses
of which most of which survived a large sanitation at the end of the 19th century, and therefore this space is one of the best preserved city spaces in the city. And each of those houses hides some secrets. Come and reveal them with us. Martin Koplík will guide you through the city.

The stories of radicals like you. The righteous path from all sides is lined with injustice. The author's production inspired by the story of the first Czech terrorist, a pensioner with a chainsaw and fear of hordes. Balladic mosaic about anger, defense of pork cutlets and nice Czech songs. On my part, the fence is higher than yours, but I wait for me to grow. Personal, even with the stories of torn wounds, which will always force us to take it into our hands. Revenge is my Way of Life and don't come here at all! Production of senior studio dreams working since the season 2017/2018 under the theater na cucky.

The beginning of the meeting of the singing club of the University of the Third Age of Masaryk University was a one -time weekly course, which took place in 2021 under the leadership of doc. Mgr. Vladimír Richter from the Department of Music Education of the Faculty of Education and quickly grew into regular rehearsals. The number of singers is growing and gradually expands the repertoire consisting of folk songs, monuments of older Czech music history, spirituals and other compositions. The singing club today has nearly 40 members and has a number of public appearances.
