Festival Cigánsky boxer Divadlo Filipa Tellera

A monodrama about a former gypsy boxer whose heart is torn by a memory, shrinks and tries to escape. But such a heart cannot shrink indefinitely... A story about friendship that was forbidden in the Third Reich."You must be able to give a blow from the heart!" says Ruki to his friend Hans in the game Gypsy Boxer. The monodrama is based on the true story of the boxing star Johann Trollmann, nicknamed " Rukeli". In 1933, he became the light heavyweight champion. However, because of his Roma origin, Johann Trollmann finished his fight as a caricature of a bleached blond hair and a powdered face murdered in the Neuengamme concentration camp. For the performance, Filip Teller received the award for the best acting performance at the 34th annual Kopřiva festival. Author: Rike ReinigerDirector: Gabriela KrečmerováActress: Filip Teller
