About event
Enjoy the YOUNG WINE FESTIVAL with the band Čendeš 🎶✨
🍇 #fmv2024
The band will present male and female vocals, violin, guitar, dulcimer and double bass in modern arrangements of Ruthenian folk songs. The main idea of the band is the interpretation of Ruthenian folklore in an unconventional way, and that is why the young musicians combine elements of folk, classical and popular music, Balkan rhythms and jazz elements in their music.
🟣 The group of young musicians Čendeš (previously known as Rusín Čendeš Orchestra) was founded in the summer of 2011. It consists of graduates of the J. L. Bellu Conservatory, the Department of Music Culture PF UMB and the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. The band has two studio albums, Best of (2015) and Cossack Attack (2019), while the latter managed to get into the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE) and into the top five of the best albums.
🟣 Band members:
Peter Šipula – vocals, violin
René Bošeľa – vocals, viola, guitar
Zuzana Stračinová – vocals, dulcimer
Jakub Stračina – double bass
Štefan Galík – violin
Róbert Bošeľa – drums
