About event
With biennial periodicity, the Metropolitan proposed to celebrate the cello evoking the memory of Paulo Gaio Lima, a disappeared cellist and pedagogue in 2021. In 2023, the St. Luiz Theater stage in successive days the second concert of Schostakovich and the second of Haydn. Now it's the first of Schostakovich and Schumann's unique concert. In tune with the spirit of the transmission of legacy so expensive to Gaio Lima, there are two soloists of distant generations: the young Bernardo Ferreira, winner of the 1st edition of the festival award, and Pieter Wispelwey, prestigious with more than two dozen albums released and professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Crowning the festival, they are back in a large orchestra of centers hundreds of children and young people from all over the country. Blackwell/David Blackwell Boggie Band
