Know Your Rights: Medical and Legal Transition

Health care associated with transition should be safe, respectful and accessible. At the workshop, we will look at what medical transition looks like in Slovakia, what your rights are, where to look for expertise that works in an informed, sensitive manner and in accordance with international standards, and what to do if you have doubts about the procedure.

At the same time, we will also focus on legal transition - what rights do transgender and non-binary people have when changing data on birth certificates and certificates and whether the state can force you to divorce. We will also talk about whether and how the situation changes after the adoption of the amendment to the Constitution and the upcoming amendment to the Civil Code.

At the end, there will be space for questions, sharing experiences and tips on how to feel safer in the health and legal system.
