About event
A small musical trip through France.
Zdenka Trvalcová, musical, chanson singer and actress, together with guitarist Tibor Žida, will introduce the audience to a light-hearted jazz manouche genre. Their program Paris, Paris will present not only adaptations of well-known French chansons, but also their own work, in which they honor the tradition of jazz manouche style. For several years, Zdenka Trvalcová portrayed the role of Edith Piaf in the musical Edith Piaf – vrabčák z predměstí.
Tibor Žida studied jazz guitar at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. He is dedicated to soul, R&B, gypsy jazz, Brazilian music and similar genres. Tibor Žida is a guitarist, singer and composer who manages to connect musical traditions (whether jazz or Roma) with contemporary influences. His style speaks to the listener with pure sincerity, truthfulness, energy and perfect musical delivery. He also presented his career to foreign listeners during a sea voyage and accompanied Marta Balážová.
