About event
We invite you to the exhibition! 19:00
Exhibition 26.9. - 31.10.2025
Curator: Miroslava Urbanová
The exhibition "Current Bratislava" is trying to point out the problematicness of understanding and forming public space after 1989 in our territory in the architectural and urban. The public interest in this process often loses in a duel with private investment interests. The reality of bizarre new buildings growing across Slovakia and dominantly our capital has already become a kind of historical layer, formally and content -empty, which raises the question - to whom does the public space really belong? To all of us, or just a handful of the chosen who handles him how they want? Who is his real master?
Filip Bielek comes from Bratislava. In 2010 he graduated from the School of Arts of Josef Vydra in Bratislava at the Acad. sculptures. Vojtech Pohanka.
Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava at the Department of the Socket, Object, Installation in the Studio Statue in Architecture and Public Space doc. Mgr. Art Patrik Kovačovský. In 2014 - 2015 he graduated from the study at UAP Poznań (PL) in the studio of Marcin Berdyszak.
Gallery for the Maat Gallery from public sources was supported by the Art Support Fund, which is the main partner of the project. The Gallery for Maat is a partner of Trenčín 2026. The partner is the European Union.
