Film: A Good Jewish Boy

The search for home: secrets of good Jewish boys

Short film from Sapir College:
Assi Doesn’t Live here (Neta Murat, Israel, 2021, Hebrew with English subtitles)
a Good Jewish Boy (Noé Debré, 2024, French with English Subtitles)

In a quickly gentrified Paris suburb, an amiable but unmotivated 27-year-old struggles to accept adulthood. At the same time, he desperately tries to hide his sick mother that they are the very last Jewish family in their beloved, shrinking community.

In conversation: Dr. Decel Peretz, director of the Jewish Center Synagogue Fraenkelufer.

Admission is free. We look forward to donations.

We look forward to reopening the synagogue garden for the neighborhood and inviting everyone to a special film experience. From August 19, we invite you to inspiring films and discussions on current topics of Jewish life at three Tuesday evening. Our top topic this year is "outsider".
Every evening begins with a short film by students of Sapir College in Sderot, Israel - a school that shows creative strength despite great challenges. The events of October 7, 2023 met the university. Nevertheless, she is committed to the reconstruction and support of her community. We are proud to make your work visible and support.
