Film Discussion - THEY LIVE and the films of John Carpenter
Event by: Downhill Film Club
Location: With Love, From PDX, Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway 7412, Portland
About event
This week we'll be discussing a personal favorite, John Carpenter's *They Live*. Though originally a reaction to Regan era economics, the films fear of unfettered capitalism and corporate control is still plenty relevant 40 years later.
Start time is 7:00, and we'll wrap up around 8:00. After that, people tend to hang out and talk shop until late. It's always a good time.
*They Live* plays [December 16](https://cstpdx.com/event/they-live/) at the Clinton Street Theater, and is readily available for streaming and rental.
