Le Règne de l’ impunité-The rule of impunity
The film tradition Haitis, the poorest country in the western world, is narrow, and its most important representative is Arnold Antonin. He has devoted his entire life's work to the fight against the changing dictatorships in his country and for social changes and has been awarded internationally for his work, which is comprehensive five dozen films.
In 2013, Arnold Antonin documented numerous cases of crimes in "Le Règne de l’Impunité", which the 29-year-old dictatorship of the Duvaliers committed against people of all origin and political conviction and demanded more than 30,000 victims between 1957 and 1986. When Jean-Claude Duvalier, notorious as a Baby Doc, was to be convicted in 2011, the court considered this to be "incompatible with the Haitian constitution". Arnold Antonin's documentary is one of the most impressive evidence of the 'rule of impunity' in Haiti.
"Le règne de l’ impunité-The rule of impunity", R.: Arnold Antonin, Haiti 2013, 65 min., Kreol and French with English subtitles
