The author's documentary film by director Daniela Meressa Rusnoková brings a sensitive view of the rarely discussed topics of premature births and the rescue of highly immature newborns, born in the so-called "grey zone". Through the mother's testimony, which represents the voice of many others, it opens up fundamental questions of neonatology and shows the path of maternal care for children with special needs. What are the dilemmas and ethical issues facing both doctors and parents? Where do we stand and where could we move in the area of support for children with disabilities and their families?
Daniela Meressa Rusnoková won the Cinematik.doc Literary Fund Award for her film Gray Zone at the Cinematik Piešťany Film Festival.
