About event
🍊 What is the event about?
Where is home when a person grows up between two cultures?
We invite you to the screening of a trilogy of short author films that we created as part of the Blooms of the Future project.
The films show our personal experiences as second-generation Vietnamese in the Czech Republic — young people who are looking for a relationship with their roots, with Vietnam, with their family and with the place where they grew up. We open up the topics of identity, home, cultural differences, intergenerational barriers, prejudices, belonging and culture shock.
Come and see stories that may be personal and close to some, new and surprising to others. Let's create a space for meeting together, listening and open dialogue about what it means to belong, understand each other and find your own place between two worlds.
🍊At the event, we will also present the results of the DemDis digital discussion "How does cinema represent us?"

🍊At the end of the program there will be space for your questions about our project and activities.
🍊If you have more questions, we are happy to answer you!
