About event
Soon in Brno we will start the film series Against Dehumanization. We will delve into the topics of everyday life, occupation and resistance in Palestine, but also the hidden forces that shape public discourse. Each screening will offer a different perspective and challenge the narratives that can prepare people affected by this long-lasting occupation of humanity.
The event is divided into four weeks, one screening each week and a subsequent discussion with an interesting guest. Israelism (2023) explores the changing views of young American Jews on Zionism, while The Wanted 18 (2014) combines humor and resistance in a unique story of Palestinian activism. The Lobby - USA (2018) reveals covert attempts to influence American politics and media narratives, and The Time That Remains (2009) tells the personal story of a Palestinian family. These films confront the erasure of personal and collective experiences during the long-lasting occupation and current genocide.

The cycle is organized by the student collective Against Dehumanization, we operate on a completely voluntary basis and on the basis of self-management, we have no permanent income, we finance the events only from donations, and therefore you can contribute to us on the spot with a voluntary contribution to cover the costs.
