About event
🐁🧙♀️ Señoras y señores, el Club Silencio les presenta... WITCHES.
🎬 Kino Úsmev presents FILM CLUB SILENCIO. We invite you to screenings of exceptional films, enriched with a professional introduction and a space for discussion after the screening. Get in the mood with us for the November-December spooky-witchy atmosphere. We continue with the adaptation of Roald Dahl's famous work THE WITCH (1990).
After the tragic death of Luke's parents, his grandmother takes him in. She often tells him about witches, how dangerous they are, how to recognize them and how to defend against them. Then they go to England together. The hotel where he lives happens to be hosting a world convention of witches. Luke hides in the hall under a table and hears that they are preparing a plan to turn all the children into mice in all of England. The witches will become confectioners and will add a magic potion to the confections. Bruno Jenkins will become the guinea pig. However, even Luke does not escape their attention and, like Bruno, he is transformed into a mouse. He then tries to thwart the plans with his grandmother. Luke takes one ampoule of a dangerous preparation from the witches and pours it into their watercress soup.
🔑 We meet every second Wednesday at 7:19 pm in the big hall of Kina Úsmev. Join us, for example, via this link: forms.gle/mPzb4mor3dNmYY9N7. When registering via the form, you will receive a membership card with the option of using every fourth screening for free.
