Filmmusik Poland is a central, but often underestimated contribution to European and international film music history. Numerous Polish composers - including Grażyna Bacewicz, Fryderyk Chopin, Krzysztof Penderecki and Karol Szymanowski - as well as film composers such as Wojciech Kilar, Krzysztof Komeda and Zbigniew Prizewoman have not only gave the Polish cinema an unmistakable artistic identity, but also sustainable international film music Minted.

In the first part of the evening, in conversation with the contemporary composer Brett Dean, the important Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz and her contribution to film music will be recognized. In addition, with Chopin and Szymanowski, two formative Polish composers of the 19th century are discussed, whose musical heritage has been reverberating in international film music-although their works have been created in some cases long before the film era. Krzyżowa-Music is an internationally renowned chamber music festival in the heart of Europe. In the Lower Silesian Krzyżowa (Kreisau), which like hardly any other place stands for the desire for a neighborhood, peaceful Europe as well as for exchange and culture, the eleventh of the workshop festival takes place this year. Musical talents of all continents meet formative music personalities of our time and work together at the highest level of developing a fascinating, wide-ranging repertoire from Bach's time to the present. Then make it tangible in numerous workshops and concerts.
