With the installation ‘Evocation of Absent Landscapes’, Claudia Bosse continues her ‘haunted landscape/s’ project with theatercombinat at DAS WEISSE HAUS. The space is transformed into a sensory environment featuring video works and materials such as salt, mud, hair and wool.
Bosse opens up a ‘third space’ where human and non-human perspectives on landscape intersect. Visitors are invited to experience fractured, living and hybrid ecologies.
The installation will be activated throughout its duration through performances and interventions.
For the finissage, Claudia Bosse and invited artists and researchers try to find aesthetic means of rendering the human-made rift between us and our environment tangible. A hosted performative situation unfolds within the installation, exploring landscape thinking in art. Over the course of eight hours, a constellation of contributions sketches out transhuman narratives between Neolithic landscapes and war zones, growing matter, landscapes held in stone, dances with latex, traces of earth, and tactile resonances.
