First Man

What if your child asks you if his family is being deported? What if you notice that not only you, but also the next generation should ask yourself: do I hear at home here? Theater maker and master storyteller Sadettin Kırmızıyüz opens his new series A kind of Dutchman with First Man, a personal and penetrating solo performance about how identity continues from generation to generation. With humor, vulnerability and sharp social observations, he investigates how traumas and dreams of one generation influence the next, and whether a migration background ever stops being an obstacle.
