FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, the group around guitarist and producer Will Putney, moves beyond its previous with each new musical effort border, thereby surpassing most bands in its genre. The most recent work is the album "Oh What the Future Holds" from 2021, which is often considered the best thing the FFAA have done to date. As if most of us weren't already aware of what's wrong with the world today, this record is a rude awakening to inspire change and push for personal responsibility.
FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY are certainly metallers, but they grew up on the hardcore scene. They have thus accepted personal responsibility and faithfully infuse their lyrics with a message that accompanies densely intoxicating songs that brilliantly combine excessive, force-driven death metal with an atmospheric groove that can remind one of Gojira or Lamb of God, thus aptly reflecting the dark state of current events. Their sixth studio album "Oh What The Future Holds" is proof of that - it doesn't waste time on fantasy or cliched gore and says humanity is a sad circus.
British metal pioneers SYLOSIS are back with their sixth consecutive album "A Sign Of Things To Come". They are known for their fiercely sophisticated and modern, yet uncompromising metal with a wide musical scope. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Josh Middleton, the album captures the powerful and energizing feeling of plugging into an amp for the first time. Influenced by classic records such as Pantera's "Far Beyond Driven" or Metallica's "Black Album", the album combines anthemic elements with crushing riffs. Produced by Scott Atkins, the album represents SYLOSIS at their creative peak and reflects on the state of the world.
DARKEST HOUR already means something in the scene with their 10 albums. A band with concert experience from all continents, from small and large stages, a band that in the mid-1990s stood - perhaps together with Lamb of God - at the revival of American metal. Now they will bring their latest album "Perpetual | Terminal".
The evening will be opened by the young talented HERIOT from Great Britain, who in their short career managed to jump ahead of Architects, Lamb Of God or Thy Art Is Murder.
