The five musicians performing tonight are not only some of the most in demand, globe trotting and award winning performers in the German Jazz scene… They are also six individuals that have helped put the Zig Zag Jazz club on the map and helped us establish as one of the best venues in the country. We call them the six thunders because of the mark they have made in the city’s jazz scene with the power and energy of performances that have sold out on every occasion in the last year. We decided to present this last minute show to celebrate the best of what our venue had to offer in 2025. The quintet will be revisiting classics from Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and more. Prepare for an explosive evening of virtuosity, energy and celebration with an all star group we now consider family. Looking forward to greeting you all for one last time in 2025! - Dimitris Christides (Owner, Manager)

Bondarev has performed at prestigious festivals and venues across Europe and collaborated with celebrated artists such as Aaron Parks, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jorge Rossy, Joey Baron, Jim Black, Greg Cohen, Lionel Loueke, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Elena Pinderhughes, and many more.
Barcelona native Gianni Gagliardi "a rising star on the Brooklyn jazz scene," as Ron Netsky of the Rochester City Newspaper writes. His unique sound, originality and artistic integrity have enabled him to perform around the world in a wide variety of settings, from jazz to flamenco with the likes of Al Foster, John Clayton, Dick Oats, Gilad Hekselman and Jordi Rossy. He has been a student at Berklee College of Music, the State University of New York, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Conservatoire National Superior de Paris. Gianni is the founder of BCN Jazz Collective, a label and platform for young composers to publish and promote their works. He is in demand as a sideman and leader; his recordings have received the highest praise from international critics.
"Gagliardi delivers music that is distinctive and stirring. One of his many gifts is his ability to shape and build intensity." - Dan Bylawsky, All About Jazz
Uri Gincel is one of the most in demand and respected Jazz pianists in Berlin. Gincel´s style can be described as heavily rooted in tradition but with sensibility and understanding of bringing jazz into the modern age.
