About event
In front of the plastic age, the basket braid was deeply rooted in fishing - from the construction of the traps to the transport of the daily catch. In view of the overfishing and warming of the oceans, jellyfish multiply worldwide - a clear sign of an ecological imbalance.
Approaching this challenge with the Australian artist Aly de Groot. Get to know the basics of the basket braid and transform discarded fishing cords and other sea waste into your own beautiful jellyfish sculpture. Braid a symbol of change that you can hang in your house or garden, and thus contribute to an important dialogue about the health of the seas.
All materials are provided on site-simply bring your creativity and your desire to move!
Workshop language is English. The participants must be 16 years or older.
Participation fee: 30 euros
Limited number of participants. Online booking required.
