Join us Saturday, November 1st at El Gaucho to ask them to drop foie gras off of their menu!
Foie gras is made by violently force feeding ducks and geese until their livers swell up to ten times their normal size. Many birds can’t even walk. The process causes immense pain, suffering, and a slow, terrifying death. It’s so inhumane that it’s been banned in multiple countries and U.S. states. There is no excuse for it to be served in Portland in 2025.
Join us as we ask another restaurant to remove this cruel and unnecessary item from the menu.
We will be meeting at 7pm in front of Village Angel Taqueria and then will walk to El Gaucho together. The protest at El Gaucho will start at 7:30pm.
