"Food Systems Transformation: Individual Imaginaries & Political Strategies"

Between 2021 and 2025 href = "www.foodalternates.at"> www.foodalternates.at ) dealt with food initiatives and their roles in the current food regime in the Czech Republic, Argentina and Switzerland. Agroindustrial companies and foreign retail chains. At the same time, however, the production and consumption of local and ecologically produced food is essential for climate protection, biodiversity, land and water, but also for a socially fair and democratic approach to healthy and affordable foods. 4. will be a lecture:
Political scientist Christina Plank, acting at the Institute of Development Research (IDR) at the University of the Boc, where she is responsible for master programs aimed at climate change and social transformation. In its research and teaching, it focuses on the theory of state, political ecology and socio-ecological transformation, especially in critical agrarian studies. She received her doctorate under the leadership of prof. Ulrich Brandt and moves in academic communities dealing with socio-ecological transformation and non-growing.
Social geographer Anna-Maria Brunner at the University of Graz and at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona graduated from environmental and systemic sciences, as well as sustainable urban and regional development with a focus on food production and consumption and cartographic visualization. She is now a doctoral student at Innsbruck University, where she focuses on case studies in Argentina as part of the Food Alternatives project. In his teaching and research he focuses on political ecology, engaged science, socio-ecological transformation, critical urban theory, social movement and civil society. In addition to the Food Alternatives project, she also co -researcher of the international project www.sustainection.org aimed at maintaining civil society and social movements in the context of many times the crisis.

Annotation of the lecture:
We are dealing with varost socio-economic conflicts that we are experiencing today in the current food system. In the lecture, We Will Present Selected Conflicts and, Using Different Perspectives on the Transformation of the Food System, Show The Possibilities for How They Can Be Resolved. We Will Talk About Examples, Such As Agroecological Initiatives Initiatives Initiatives Initiatives in Czechia, and We Will Show How These Initiatives are integrated into the current political-economic food regime. We Will Also Address the Challenges We Face In Implementing the European Green Deal in the Agri-Food System in Austria.
