The Ensemble is perceived as part of the international jazz community living in Berlin. And there was also an interesting expansion. For Free Hands, the Jazz Au Chellah festival was booked in Morocco in the past, combined with the request to realize a project with the Moroccan Oudvirtuosen Alaa Zouite. The concert before 2000 people was so successful that we decided to further develop our musical encounter. In this constellation, musicians from 5 nations are actually on stage. Our wonderful CD "The Passing On Of The Fire", which was published at Laika Records, was the "Jazzalbum of the Week!" at NDR culture.
Currently: In March I was a guest in the studio of Deutschlandfunk Kultur in the Funkhaus Berlin. Katrin Wilke presented my arrangement by Chick Corea's “Armando´s Rhumba” in her wonderful show Dlf Musikmagazin TonArt Jazz.
Jazzmagazin Jazzthing. : "Rhythmically sophisticated pieces also delight the ear of the demanding listener, beautiful melodies characterize compositions. Diverse, colorful, grooving, casual - the five musicians from five countries offer a catchy, urban jazz with a good dose of oriental ingredients."
