The lecture will be an opportunity to present the selection of projects that Fosbury Architecture have created since its inception more than 10 years ago.
Fosbury Architecture (FA ) is a team founded in 2013 by Giacomo Ardesio, Alessandro Bonizzoni, Nicola Campri, Veronica Caprino and Claudia Mainardi. FA is a spatial practice interpreting architecture as an instrument that mediates relations between collective and individual needs; expectations and resources; sustainability and pragmatism; The environment and man. The FA is a research group aimed at expanding the boundaries of the field, newly defining its role and re -evaluating its production processes in terms of current challenges. FA is an architectural office dealing with urban strategies, re -use of existing buildings, temporary installations, exhibition design, publishing projects, curatorial activities and educational programs. FA, similar to Dick Fosbury, is constantly looking for new ways to overcome the limits set by the Bar of Convention. Bonizzoni (1988), Nicola Campri (1989), Claudia Mainardi (1987) and Veronica Caprino (1988). FA were curator of the Italian pavilion at the 18th Biennial of Architecture in Venice. Other previous curatorial projects include the Characters Monographic Exhibition in the Gallery of Magazine in Vienna (2022), Urban Center in Pratu in Centro Pecci (2021/2022) and Milan 2030 at the Milan Tien (2019). The FA participated in a number of national and international architecture biennial, including those in Lisbon (2019), Versailles (2019), Chicago (2017) and Venice (2016). The works of FA were also exhibited at group exhibitions: Take Your Seat, supported by the Adi Design Museum in Milan; The State of Art of Architecture on the Milan Triennale; Re-constructivist Architecture in RIBA Gallery in London; Adhocracy at the Onassis Center in Athens and Mean Home on the British School in Rome. FA participated in many exhibition mock -ups, including Verde Prato (2019) in Centro Pecci, awarded at Tyoung Prize 2021. Together with Alterazioni Video, FA published the publication INCOMPIO, LA NASCITA DI UNO STILE (2018) supported by Mibact and was awarded honorary recognition for compass d'Or 2020. www.fosburyarchitecture.com
