Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of nighttime street photography and learn to capture lighting moods, moments and exciting details.

Especially at night Street photography has a special appeal thanks to the colorful light from car headlights, neon signs and street lighting. Berlin never sleeps and we set out to capture moments that show urban life in all its oddity and banality.

Berlin at night: your playground for cinematic street photography

In this photo workshop you will learn scenes in the city to capture images that are as atmospheric as individual images from a movie. Through the interplay of light & shadow, exciting image composition and finding the right moment we create unique snapshots of the urban night.

Skillful staging of street scenes and moments allow our pictures to tell small stories: that Storytelling is a central part of street photography and in this photography course we'll look at how we can use it to create captivating images from everyday situations.

Berlin at night never stands still and I'll also show you how you can effectively incorporate the movement of passers-by into your photos and what else you need to keep in mind when doing street photography in general and at night in particular There is.

On this photo tour through the Berlin night, I particularly value individual support Very close to the hearts of every single participant. You will immediately receive on-location feedback and suggestions for your pictures and answers to (hopefully ;) ) all your photography questions.

Due to the small group size I can pick you up exactly where you are and there is always time to respond to individual questions or to create something together on a motif.

Locations

This photography course takes place at various photo locations in Berlin city center, which we will visit both on foot and by public transport (ticket for public transport not included).

Depending on the weather and the participants' wishes, these photo spots can vary - because the art of street photography exists Among other things, it involves capturing scenes of daily life regardless of the location.

Equipment

• SLR or system/compact camera
• As bright a lens as possible (i.e. one with the smallest possible aperture number, e.g. f2.8)
