About event
FREDZ
It is, without a doubt, a new type of artist that we are dealing with when we meet a very young artist like Fredz for the first time. We will insist on the term of encounter, and not just of listening, because Fredz is a phenomenon apart, a generational artist, certainly, a polymorphous musician who it is urgent to place in the unclassifiable category and, perhaps even, elusive. This is good news at a time when record companies are more eager to fit their young foals into formats rather than letting them grow wings or letting them go off the beaten track of pop with all kinds of flavors.
What makes Fredz unique, even apart from the musical qualities to which we will come back, is undoubtedly his jack-of-all-trades side, a frantic sound craftsman, a reluctant Quebec zebra at all to allow oneself to be locked up in a box, even a golden one, of a gifted young person. Because this boy is a little prince of paradox. His rap seems to come more from a starry galaxy than from a city; his flow has a suave side and never sounds brutal; finally, while being an authentic mirror of his generation, he never inserts clichés concerning it into his texts or caricatures it, as so many others do.
Are you ready to try the experience? Are you ready to open the windows of your mental and musical panorama? Yes ?! So much the better because Fredz promises you: from March 8, the release date of his new LP, “Tomorrow, the weather will be nice…”
