About event
Synopsis
"Frida Kahlo - Memories of a Blue House" appears inspired by the painting "The Two Fridas" of the famous Mexican painter. The show plunges into the painter's intense and complex life, whose work transcends time and cultural borders. Frida's moments of physical and emotional pain, caused by her health problems and the tumultuous relationship with Diego Rivera, while celebrating her resilience and the way she has transformed suffering into art. A show that says who is Frida, without saying who was Frida. But after all, who is Frida? Is it just a painter? A writer? A novelist or just a woman with the power to change the world? Frida is the name that everyone will know.
A show that marks the 70th anniversary of the artist's death and dedicated to actor João Borges de Oliveira, in the celebrations of his 20 years of career. Staging Assistant: Luísa Pires
