Kino Delphi Lux
Film & Talk is back from the summer break and shows the feature film "Frost/Nixon" on Friday, September 5th at 6 p.m. The journalist and author Korbinian Frenzel and other guests are invited to the subsequent conversation. In conversation with the audience, it is about explosive interviews with politicians: inside, the relationship between the media and politics, forms of investigative reporting and the power of staging in the media.
Film
The focus of the film focuses on four television interviews from 1977 between journalist David Frost (Michael Sheen) and former President Richard Nixon (Frank Langella). When Nixon sat down with frost to discuss the dirty details that finally brought his presidency to fail, it was three years ago that the former commander -in -chief had been pushed out of office. The Watergate scandal was still on everyone's lips, and Nixon remained notoriously taciturn until he agreed to put together with frost. Nixon was certain that he was able to assert himself against the emerging British broadcaster, and even Frost's own people were not sure whether their boss was ready for such a top -class interview. When the interview finally came about and both men did without the typical fuss and instead said the simple truth, fans and critics on both sides were amazed at what they got to see [email protected]
