About event
GaGa is a puppet production that tries to non-violently cultivate a healthy relationship with the environment in children from the age of three.
On January 10 in 1992, a strong storm from a cargo ship heading from Hong Kong to the USA swept one of the shipping containers into the Pacific Ocean. He was hiding over 28 thousand rubber ducks. Some of them sailed as far as the shores of Hawaii and Alaska, some to their counterparts in Australia. Others were frozen in a cube of arctic ice or dissolved in sea salt. Some found their way onto the shelves of passionate collectors. Others then helped scientists discover how ocean currents work. A number of them became part of the floating garbage island. And some still sail across the ocean to this day.
The production GaGa presents the fantastic fates of migrating ducklings to the smallest viewers and introduces them to the impact of man on the environment in a playful way. Rubber ducks are not only castaways on the high seas, but also waste that has entered the ocean due to a cargo ship accident. Together with them, the audience meets the natural inhabitants of water bodies, but also plastic and other waste that threatens their lives.
Warning: The production contains a storm scene and one night underwater a scene in which only the puppets are lit. It is recommended to prepare the youngest viewers in advance.
Suitable for viewers from 3 years old.
