About event
Musical representation about the feeling of 'being needed'
The old man is ready. He does not think that himself, but the world says he has to make way. Place for all children who can't wait to be born. And so the old man waits. He is sitting, waiting and is ready.
until he suddenly hears a strange sound at the front door. Something he has not heard for a long time. The man stumbles to the door, opens it and sees ... a baby. Just like that. Out of nothing. As if it fell out of the sky. Soon the old man looks at whether there is someone who belongs to the child, but he sees no one. He looks back at the baby and ... it has now suddenly turned into a toddler ...
In Gammel you follow the unusual friendship between an old man and a mysterious child. A musical figure theater performance with dolls and mask game about the feeling of being "needed". That every day counts, for young and old.

Studio Figur is a Utrecht company that makes poetic and sensory figure theater. With physical play, doll/object theater, live film and music, new stories are told in which current issues are central. In our performances, films and installations, both children and adults are taken to another reality, whereby the imagination of young and old is put into effect in a playful and inspiring way.
