ganavya in De Duif

ganavya. a singer and transdisciplinary artist, released her latest album 'Daughter of a Temple' in November 2024 via LEITER, Nils Frahm's label. The album brings together spiritual jazz and South Asian devotional music, inspired by Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda. ganavya invited an impressive group of musicians, including Esperanza Spalding, Vijay Iyer, Shabaka Hutchings and Immanuel Wilkins. The recordings started with a ritual in which she washed her guests' feet with honey, turmeric and warm water. The music emerged organically, as a fusion of community spirit and spirituality. 'Daughter of a Temple' reflects her search for connection and shows that “the worlds we dream are possible with the right dedication”. She will perform the album in De Duif on Monday, October 20.
