The people flock to the monthly belly dance beat event in colorfully mixed crowds.

GAYHANE has long been known beyond the city's borders and is already finding imitators in many large cities. For years, LGBT*I and their friends have been meeting on the HomoOriental dance floor, which DJs Ipek, mikki_p, Aziza A and Amr Hammer play with Turkish, Arabic, but also Greek and Hebrew pop music. In a mixture of Oriental and Occidental sounds and temperaments, an atmospheric party quickly develops, the flair of which is underscored by the imaginative transformation of the venue into an oriental festival tent.

The dancing hustle and bustle is interrupted at 1:00 a.m. by midnight peaks. Before there is a show performance by a special guest from the program of various artists, it is first important to bring an important aim of the evening closer to the guests: namely, not only to enjoy an exhilarating evening, but also to exercise solidarity with a wide range of political and social projects and groups together with our guests.
This integral part of GAYHANE's party concept is seen as the practiced solidarity of the event team and the entire SO36 collective. When the Halay (Oriental circle dance) plays at the disco after the show, gays, straight people, lesbians and somehow everyone dances arm in arm, so that the atmosphere just boils and boils...until the early morning...
