About event
The lecture is focused on the depictions and aesthetics of working gestures in the creation of Gejza Angyala, which advocates in the wider context of art modernism in Slovakia. It focuses mainly on the specifics of central Slovakia and mining towns, where the theme of (heavy) work resonated in the works of several artists, such as Julius Flache, Edmund Gwerk and Julius Szabó. Therefore, the lecture presents Angyal's paintings of work in connection with contemporary artistic operations as well as its membership in several artistic associations, where he exhibited alongside left -wing artists.
