Civil defense – just a new buzzword or long overdue? 🤔
On Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. we cordially invite you again to the “Civil Defense” discussion series in the Zollpackhof!
Terms such as “German Operational Plan”, “Civil Defense Concept” or “Germany Hub” are appearing more and more frequently – in the media, politics and security debates. But what is actually behind it? What role does civil society play in times of crisis? And how does cooperation with the Bundeswehr work in an emergency?
Lieutenant General a. will give us answers to these and many other questions this evening. D. Martin Schelleis (RC Köln am Rhein, District 1810).
Until recently he was the inspector of the armed forces base - and therefore responsible for the second largest military organizational unit in the Bundeswehr. Today he is the Federal Commissioner for Crisis Resilience, Security Policy and Civil-Military Cooperation for the Maltese.
