About event

For 40 years, the division of Berlin stood as a symbol of the brutality of the Cold War and the division of Germany; until it was torn down non-violently in 1989. A place where systems confronted each other and families were separated, but peaceful protest could end a dictatorship. A place like the Berlin Wall leaves traces, opinions and stories. We would like to dedicate ourselves to this with this tour, introduce the Wall in its original parts and retell this exciting and eventful time.
The tour begins at the Nordbahnhof S-Bahn station, at the exit to Invalidenstrasse, at Elisabeth-Schwarzhaupt-Platz. Our tour begins where Berlin's largest long-distance train station once stood and leads across the area of the Wall Memorial, up Bernauer Straße to the Brunnenstraße intersection.
