sorbitol drops - Ghost Artist Conference live
During the performance program on the last day of the diploma exhibition at AVU, sorbitol drops will present a special musical live set in a twelve-channel sound system as part of the Ghost Artist Conference installation in the premises of the white hall at AVU Veletrลพnรญ. During the live concert composition, he will work with recycled sample material from "functional music" playlists extracted from Spotify. By manipulating this unified monotonous musical material without a clear identity, cheap consumer audio content will be transformed into a new expressive musical expression. Spotify playlists such as "Deep sleep" or "Stress relief", filled with empty AI music or compositions created by ghost artists, will become the main language means for a twelve-voice musical conversational drama. He is mainly devoted to audiovisual multimedia installations combining video and sound and the production of experimental electronic music. In addition to his own artistic creation, he deals with the dramaturgy of the music program of the Traลฅ festival. His debut album Remรญzek music, which was released in the summer of 2024 on the Gin&Platonic label, is based on a collage-like composition of processed samples consisting mainly of field recordings or studio recordings of various natural materials and musical instruments. The result is an interweaving of different musical expressions and shapes creating stories full of tension and contrasts.
