GHOST-NOTE + ASTELS @ City Sounds Festival

Ghost-Note will bring world groove to Bratislava: Grammy winners from Snarky Puppy on June 2 at MMC!

On June 2, 2026, Bratislava is waiting for an evening that will push the boundaries of the concert experience. The American formation Ghost-Note, an exceptional rhythmic supergroup from Dallas, turns its concerts into a vibrant
organism built on groove, virtuosity and unrestrained energy. Their music is an explosive combination of funk, hip-hop and jazz, where precise musicianship meets dance intensity and spontaneous improvisation. The French duo Astels, one of the most interesting discoveries of today, will provide an excellent start to the evening. Tickets for the City Sounds Festival concert are now on sale.
Ghost-Note stands on the solid foundations of two prominent personalities of the contemporary music scene - drummer Robert "Sput" Searight and percussionist Nate Werth, members of the award-winning band Snarky Puppy. Both are multi-Grammy Award winners and are among the most respected rhythm artists of their generation. The band is made up of top musicians who have worked with icons such as Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock and Kendrick Lamar.
At the Bratislava concert, Ghost-Note will present themselves in an eight-member line-up that promises sound variety - from a dense rhythmic base through sophisticated keyboard and guitar harmonies to distinctive brass arrangements and vocal energy. In addition to leaders Robert "Sput" Seargiht (drums) and Nate Werth (percussion), Daminique Xavier Taplin (keyboards), Justin McKinney (bass guitar), Peter Knudsen (guitar), Mackenzie Green (vocals), Jonathan Mones (saxophone) and Daniel Wytanis (trombone) will provide an unforgettable concert in Bratislava. Ghost-Note's music is based on the legacy of legends such as Fela Kuti and James Brown, but it sounds modern and fresh. It stands on a strong rhythm, catchy grooves and huge energy, which is immediately transferred from the stage to the audience. Their concert will be enjoyed by jazz fans and everyone who loves live, dynamic music that makes it impossible to sit still.
The evening will be opened by the French dance duo Astels, one of the most interesting discoveries of the current European scene. They gained attention with viral jam videos with millions of views and confirmed their success with their debut EP and sold-out concerts in Paris and London. In early April, they release their debut album The Meeting - a bold and colorful project that combines pop, electro-funk, R&B and modern groove into a fresh, energetic sound. Their performance will bring an ideal start to the evening and naturally tune
the audience to the rhythmic explosion of Ghost-Note.
