Ghost of You (křest alba) + Vložte Kočku

Ghost of You returns to MeetFactory 6 years after the release of the album Black Yoga to christen the new record Eyes Shut (2024, Indies Scope) on December 6 ). By their side, the cult band Insert a cat emerges from apparent "hibernation".

Since the debut of Glacier & the City (2015), Ghost of You from Brno has been touring tirelessly. They presented their unpredictable whirlwind of guitars, bass and dance beats in all corners of the Czech Republic, but also in Slovakia, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany and Great Britain.

The second album Black Yoga (2018) presented the band's more experimental position as well as the range and authenticity of Tom Novohradský's vocals. They impressed critics and the public with their fresh sound - the band performed at leading European festivals such as Sziget, Donauinselfest, Pohoda, Waves Vienna, Eurosonic Nooderslaag or Colours of Ostrava. With the record, she played sold-out concerts in Brno and Prague clubs (Fléda, Kabinet múz, Café V lese).

During the pandemic, drummer Antonín Kropáček joined the lineup and the band worked on new material. The third album Eyes Shut is released on November 15, 2024 on Indies Scope, and Ghost of You returns with it more mature and more mature than ever.

Insert the cat breaks boundaries with its energy and genre unrestrainedness between expectation and reality, between the viewer and the performer. Their live performances are often full of fresh ideas - three drummers and three trombonists as guests; instead of one podium, four podiums in the corners; laser satellite, giant hanging mirrors... They played as precursors to Prodigy, Battles or Explosions in the Sky.

Their second album Seat was one of the most outstanding records of 2013. On the shelf Anděl and Vinyla appeared in the rehearsal room. The band has definitively penetrated the stages of major festivals such as Colours of Ostrava (where they managed to play three times already), United Islands or Pohoda.

“A concert is a meeting place, a fixed point in time. It's not just about who's on stage, the entire audience, every single person in the audience, shapes the situation equally. Music is just air vibrations and then what we put into them, where they take us. Meaning is given equally by the band and the listener. We always tried to make music that came from us, but at the same time it wasn't a one-way street with a closed door. There must be space and possibilities left in music," says drummer and lyricist Cyril.
