What does Ukrainian folklore, Hildegard of Bingen and Modular Synthesis have in common? Starry nights to the new synagogue bring a new project гільдеарда (𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱), which is behind the duo Heinali and Andriana-Yaroslav Saienko. They will show you how the revived music of St. Hildegard can sound in the accompaniment of the modular synthetor and traditional singing.

гільдеарда

New project гільдеарда (𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱) in a unique way reimaginates the music of St. Hildegard from Bingen. Behind him is electronic producer Heinali and vocalist Andrian-Yaroslav Saienko, who practices traditional Ukrainian singing. Heinali's modular synthesis materializing medieval polyphony and monophony in combination with the Yaroslava Saienko transcendental singing in real time revives the raw form of Hildegard's music. The timeless compositions of St. Hildagard help with their depth to a pair of musicians to process current traumatic events from the war. The radicality and spirituality of Hildegard's music acts as a mirror and a bridge over the abyss that makes up time between today and the Middle Ages.
