Diego Baliardo, from the mythical Gipsy Kings keeps alive the flame of the band that popularized “Bambelo”, “Djobi, Djoba”, among other hits that, in May 2024, vibrated thousands of people from north to south of the country. They come back next year, to act again at the Coliseu dos Recreios, on May 23rd.
With more than 30 years of hits on stage and 60 million records sold, the iconic group of Rumba Flamenca promises to bring soul and gypsy hearts to Portuguese stages, touching their successes “in a spirit of celebration and sharing”. Amented, "Volare", "Bamboléo" and "Djobi, Djoba", as well as Castilian versions of themes such as "My Way" by Frank Sinatra and "Hotel California" of the Eagles. An alignment that the Portuguese audience knows well - after all, the band that was born from the musical marriage between Gypsy families Reyes and Baliardo, in the late 1970s, in Arles, France, is a frequent presence on national stages.
