The author Tomasz Duszyński, which has been awarded in Poland Numerous readers in this country too. The crime series about the mysterious military investigator Hauptmann Wilhelm Klein and sergeant Franz Koschella captivates with a dark atmosphere, surprising twists and the nuances in the Silesia of the 1920s.
While in Volume 1, "Glatz" (Jaron, 2024), the title -giving city (today's Kłodzko) in 1920 is haunted by an enigmatic series of murder, whose geometric traces of facts are reminiscent of various conspiracies, volume 2, "Glatz. Herrgottslande" (Polente Verlag, 2025), into 1921: In a forest near Reinerz, a missing young woman is found and guard master Koschella is suspected of murder. In addition to a deeply entangled network of police, gambling and prostitution, the book convinces with its dense atmosphere and excitement.
Tomasz Duszyński, born in 1976, worked as a broadcasting journalist and screenwriter. Since his debut in 2007, he has published a large number of novels, children's books and short stories of different genres. His historical crime novels of the Glatz series were awarded the most important Polish crime awards and translated into Czech. The first volume appeared in German in 2024. In the same year, the author also received the honorary citizenship of the title -giving Lower Silesian city of Kłodzko (German Glatz). Director of the Strzelin City Library and organizer of the local literary festival since 2020.

Markus Schnabel, born in 1978, he studied in Vienna and Krakow Slavic and has been dealing intensively with crime literature from Poland since my studies. He is a translator, publisher and mediator of the emerging Polish crime scene and lives in Vienna.
