GOETHES ERBEN & UNFARBEN - “Dystopia eats empathy”
The third part of the last one, which began in 2025, will take place in March 2026 GOETHES ERBEN European tour “Dystopia eats empathy”.
GOETHES ERBEN will be performing on various stages in Germany for four days, the remaining concerts will take place in neighboring countries.
The band, founded in 1989, celebrates a very unique form of musical theater at their very special live concerts. Each tour block of the “Dystopia eats empathy” tour differs in the set list, because GOETHES ERBEN want to present as many pieces as possible live again in the remaining three years of this tour. So “Dystopia eats empathy” is an episodic staging of their own past, but is also rooted in the present, because even if no new albums are released after the release of the 10th studio album “X”, the band continues to play new pieces, but only live.
The implementation varies depending on the space available on the existing stages. On large stages, Ida Gross reinforces the live band with her dance, which has now grown to six members again. Light, video projections and dramaturgy make every appearance a special and, above all, unique event. Because what sets GOETHES ERBEN apart is that the audience becomes part of the production and the mood of an evening can be very different, even despite a similar setlist. They are emotional roller coaster rides that their long-time fans are happy to embark on. When GOETHES ERBEN performs, people cry, laugh and dance, suffer together and convey hope despite all the gloom.
Musically, everything is possible between noisy industrial and delicate string sounds, electronics or piano miniatures and many words and content have lost none of their power and bitterness even after decades. On the contrary, some lines are more relevant than ever. In any case, concert guests can expect a rollercoaster of emotions, because GOETHE'S ERBEN have left emotional traces on many of their loyal fans. What was is a benefit for the past and remembering is also always a source of strength for the future and everyday life.
UNFARBEN are special guests on this small European tour leg. In March 2026, the Berlin musician, accompanied by bassist Ben Hayn, will bring plenty of new music to the stage to captivate and indulge in, alongside his acclaimed EP “Woanders”. Danceable darkness between melancholy and eruptive anger.
