GoGo Penguin in Paradiso

Gogo Penguin, the trio from Manchester, which combines jazz, classical and electronic influences in an inspiring way, returns with a new album, 'Necessary Fictions', on which pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Jon Screen Diep in themselves digs "what we are currently considering our integral. It is a powerful motivation for some of their most daring music to date, in which they integrate modular synthesizers, Moog Grandmother and electric bass in their sound more than ever before, while they slide spectacularly from acoustic instrumentation to electronics with drums in the foreground. 'Necessary Fictions' is honest and powerful.
