Lecture: Golden Era of Hollywood
Not even major crises, whether economic or cinematographic, caused by the onset of sound, did not limit the completion of the professionalization of all levels of industry in Hollywood and stabilize the basic rules of mainstream film narrative. The golden age of Holywood begins with its production rules (Hays Code), introduced genres (musical, animated film, gangster, western, etc.), steady expression procedures of continuity and stars. The way to become globally the strongest cinematography is definitely open. It shows a classic way of ascension, but also the fall of the gangster, whose pre -image was Chicago Al Capone (Little Caesar is based on Salvatoreho Maranzan: Capo di Tutti Capi New York). Immediately after its launch, the film has been a success and became a sample example of the creation of pre-Code Hollywood for the 30 years for direct depiction of violence.
