About event
I am now teaching Workshops! First up: A golem sculpture workshop in Leikam Brewery’s fabulous Community Room. Details:
GOLEM SCULPTURE WORKSHOP
WHAT: Hands-on, skill-building, slab-based, stoneware clay sculpture workshop.
WHY: Because holidays are coming, and nothing says “gift” better than something you made with your own hands. And because it’s fun to make stuff and get a little dirty.
WHO: Adults and minors age 12+
WHEN: Sunday November 16, 2025
TIME: 3:30-6:00 PM
WHERE: Leikam Brewpub (they have great food)
5812 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97215
COST: $80, includes two beers or beverages
REGISTER: https://square.link/u/XjgyqasH
INCLUDED: All tools, clay, firings and instruction. (And those 2 beers, mentioned above.)
WEAR: Comfortable clothes that are ok to get dirty, or
BRING: smock or apron (optional).
Not sure about taking a workshop from me? Please come to our “Golem Artist Reception” at Leikam Brewery on Saturday December 13, 2025 at 4:00 PM. All student Golems will be on display for the public to admire for one hour. (Sorry, none for sale.)
What is a golem? See https://www.grunge.com/.../the-history-of-the-golem.../ (The golem is a protector/monster from Jewish folklore.)
Look for future workshops from me at Leikam Brewery about every month or two. The next one will be a Heart Rattle Sculpture Workshop in January, with pick-up prior to Valentine’s Day.
