✨Learn to speak the language of gong✨
GongWaves Academy is a comprehensive educational program divided into five weekend modules, which brings to the Czech Republic and Slovakia the principles of heart-centered gong playing - a gong game that begins in the heart and continues in the silence of the present.
Each module builds on the previous one and at the same time creates a separate, deep experience, leading from the first note to the ability to independently and safely lead one's own gong bath.
With respect, knowledge and joy.
It is not a theory. It is an experience that settles in the body and mind.

✨Module I – Tuning in to the gong and the basics of playing
Start listening differently. Not only with the ears, but with the whole body.
What we will cover:
✔️basics: the history of the gong, types of gongs, the effect of vibrations on the body and mind
✔️first touch with the gong - establishing a close relationship with the sound and the instrument
✔️basic playing techniques: rhythm, dynamics, layering of tones
✔️understanding the effect of the player's movement on the energy of the space
✔️practical exercise in pairs - perception of the effect of sound on the other person
What you will take away from the module:
✔️technical basics of playing the gong
✔️basic understanding of the "speech" of the gong
✔️confidence and calmness when playing
✔️ability to perceive the interplay of attention, movement, space and sound
This module is primarily about the quality of presence, silence and inner rhythm.

Jana Kašová
A period of overload brought her to the gong – the need to slow down, breathe out and find a new rhythm. After years in marketing, business and management, she decided to leave the world of performance and follow what began to make more sense to her - the path of heart and sound. Today, she leads gong sessions with delicacy and professionalism, creating a space where people can relax, rest in silence and reconnect with themselves.
Marcela Valtrová
She brought two worlds together – law and sound. As an advocate and mediator for many years, she creates balance through communication and words. When gong entered her life, she discovered a way to bring it even where words are not enough. Her work with the sound of gongs grows out of humility, attention and deep presence - from the ability to be with what is opening in the moment, to allow deep relaxation and to move on.

Saturday 11.7.
10.00-18.00 (lunch break 13.00-14.00)
Sunday 12.7.
9.00-15.00 (lunch break 12.00-13.00)

Early bird: CZK 6,900
(when paying the full amount by May 31, 2025)
Full price: CZK 7,900
(full payment is required to reserve a place amounts)
The price includes:
- script
- certificate of participation
- small snacks and drinks throughout the day
- home-made vegetarian lunch
- basic consultation on the choice of instrument and mallets and individual recommendations for further practice
Cancellation fee
20% of the price if participation is canceled more than 14 days before the event
50% of the price if participation is canceled 14 to 8 days before the event
100% of the price if participation is canceled 7 days or less before the event
After prior approval, participation in this module can be transferred to another person without a cancellation fee.
The course has a limited number of places in order to maintain a personal approach and quality space for each participant.

For participants outside of Prague, the possibility to stay overnight in the studio is free.

Do I have to have my own gong?
No. At the beginning we work with our tools. Later, we will be happy to help you choose your own gong.
Do I need a musical education?
No. Openness, humility and the desire to discover sound are important.
Is the course also suitable for me if I only want to play for myself?
Yes. Playing for yourself is a full-fledged path and a conscious practice that may or may not naturally be shared with others.
