About event
✨Learn to speak the language of gong✨
GongWaves Academy is a comprehensive educational program divided into five weekend modules, which brings to the Czech Republic and Slovakia the principles of heart-centered gong playing – gong play that begins in the heart and continues in the silence of the present.
Each module builds on the previous one and at the same time creates a separate, deep experience, leading from the first note to the ability to independently and safely conduct your own gong bath.
S respect, knowledge and joy.
It is not a theory. It is an experience that settles in the body and the mind.
✨Module I – Tuning in to the gong and the basics of playing
Start listening differently. Not only with the ears, but with the whole body.
What we will cover:
✔️basics: the history of the gong, types of gongs, the effect of vibrations on the body and mind
✔️first contact with the gong - establishing a close relationship with the sound and the instrument
✔️basic playing techniques: rhythm, dynamics, layering of tones
✔️understanding the effect of the player's movement on energy of space
✔️practical exercises in pairs - perception of the effect of sound on the other person
What you will take away from the module:
✔️technical basics of playing the gong
✔️basic understanding of the "speech" of the gong
✔️confidence and calmness while playing
✔️ability to perceive the interplay of attention, movement, space and sound
This module is primarily about the quality of presence, silence and inner rhythms.
✨Lecturer:
Renáta Langová
Self-discovery and desire for new experiences brought her to the gong. Gongs became an integral part of her personal and professional life, where she found a connection between gongs and working with children. He is regularly educated in the field of working with the sound of gongs. Today, he leads workshops for children and adults, regular gong spas mainly in Bratislava and occasionally in other cities.
At the workshops, he uses his pedagogical talent, which includes patience, a sense of detail and passing on knowledge in an understandable and practical way.
