Info Grateful Cat
“Ready to go anywhere” is the second album by the Berlin minimal indie folk duo GRATEFUL CAT. 12 songs with guitars, bass and percussion, catchy melodies and lots of harmony vocals between Byrds, Bangles and Beach Boys. The lyrics are reminiscent of Jonathan Richman: humorous observations of everyday life, stories about cats and werewolves and thoughts on the approaching end of the world. The album was recorded in a Kreuzberg kitchen and will be released on Waterfall Records in October 2025.
Info Fil
Fil has been working as a multi-talented full-blooded entertainer since 1992. With and without the hand puppet shark Sharkey, the political bard, who croons the verses, disarms his audience in such an incongruous ironic dialogue that the critics are left speechless. Clever political comedy and witty nonsense are the essence of the artist's “filettantism”. In the Gallic village, the self-proclaimed singer/songwriter would be gagged and tied to the tree for his songs.
In Berlin, Fil is loved by his fans for this, for more than 30 years now.
