Gratulační koncert k 85. narozeninám Jaroslava Krčka

Composer, conductor, multi-instrumentalist, singer, presenter and music director Jaroslav Krček is one of the most important personalities of contemporary Czech music. As a student of Miloslav Kabeláč, he made a significant impact in all fields of classical music (he composed 9 symphonies, 4 operas, 10 masses, an abundance of concerto, vocal and chamber pieces – among them 16 quartets). In 1975, he founded the Musica Bohemica ensemble, with which he recorded 50 CD titles, music for several films and plays, and performs concerts throughout Europe and overseas. A large part of the ensemble's repertoire is devoted to spiritual music from the earliest times to the present day. The concert will feature a selection from the jubilant's works, including String Quartet No. 13 "In honor of J.J. Ryba", a new arrangement of Folk poetry in songs by L. Janáček, Songs from baroque hymnals or Advent and Christmas songs.
